Will write poetry for love

I’m supposed to be the one who is feeling strong

Yet, I have got the biggest feeling I am getting it so wrong

Stick by me in sickness and  in health,

You have never let me down with all your lovin wealth

I feel I have let you down

I don’t need to see no frown.

The truth is as my mind slowly unhinges

The incessant  call of sleeping Grimm  makes sure it stays on the  fringes.

Loud and shrill,

My mind took a detour- scarpered for that biggest hill.

All I want to do is be your deserving queen,

the one that acts out on the things I mean.

To do

to be

Mind is running away after hearing a great big boo.

I am no poet

It’s not hard to show it.

I just want  you to know,

even in this state of harrow.

I love you

even when I am  stripped of my bow and arrow.

You  are  my king

with this fact alone –

let it  be known  that in the end

 we will soar,

even if only with one wing.

  5. This was just a random attempt? I think you have hidden talent: emotion courses through your poem, and I think some of your word choices and phrasing are brilliant, like: “scarpered” “the incessant call of sleeping Grimm” and “even in this state of harrow” – among others. Do write poetry again sometime : ) (I very much like your black & white photo, too!) ~ Peri

    • WOW! Thank you so much! What a wonderful, unexpected comment. I love black and white pictures. Yeah, all my poetry are random attempts. I don’t sit on them for long. I don’t know the academic/theory side of poetry. it is a thing I started doing on this Blog. I have written quite a lot of poetry since. I even have a poetry section now! 🙂 THANKS for taking the time to stop by and give me such inspiring feedback.

  11. I think it’s starkly beautiful! It’s especially great as it doesn’t mess around with unnecessary big words or metaphor thingies 💖

  12. This was good. I started to write poetry back in late October. The more you do, the more comfortable you will get. I will be glad to read any poetry you write.

Good poetry is always from the heart, I believe, and I think you did a fantastic job conveying your feelings and thoughts this way. I enjoyed this brief, beautiful moment reading it so thank you for sharing it 🙂

  14. Beautiful, Daisy! One can ‘sense’ the depth of feeling! As you quite rightly say, this is ‘you’ from the heart! Hugs! ❤

  15. Beautiful and courageous poem. There are times when our knowing and feeling don’t seem to match. Closing the gap requires us to be very present …intentionally. To learn and receive whatever it is to be learned and received. Takes time but opens up to richer, wiser times …
