Confessions of an Animal lover

The A-Z challenge starts tomorrow.

Oh, zeeeeeeeeeeee excitement.

I’m probably going to have to put a pause on my ‘Beliefs’ posts, which in a way, I’m actually dreading because I love being silly and writing comically.

My theme is animals. I’ve always been more compassionate to animals than most humans.I don’t know what it is that connects me to our earthling friends.

“I like big cats and I cannot lie…”

This may sound bordering on psychopathic tendencies ,but I think the connection was made when I was about 3/4 years old. I was playing with  ‘my little ponies’ in my bedroom – remember them?

Our kitten came into my bedroom. I spotted   a piece of string on the floor and for some (evil) reason I tied the string around my kitten’s nec, it was too short.

I nearly hung my kitten, as soon as I saw it struggling ,I untied it then proceeded to burst into to tears.

I’m not evil.

Kids do experiment.

It’s not funny, it is going to be horrific, I expect many of you may not even read the posts because you can’t bear to listen or read or see an animal suffering or abused.

Don’t turn your eyes away from something because it upsets you. I expect to learn a lot. I hope you will take the time to raise your own awareness to all our earthling friends. Be brave enough to take the time to read what abuse/disrespect so many have been through.

I’m their voice for the month of April. I’m going into serious mode. If anyone has read my

“I  love cats and all our earthling friends. I have  nearly had massive fistie cuffs with people about my passion for animals.  I’m not trying to sell anything. Rest at ease, soldier.”

Daisy Willows

I can laugh at religion( some people can’t). I can’t laugh or ignore animal abuse and neglect  though some people can.

It’s a good job we are all different hey?

  1. This is a beautiful post Daisy – thank you. I have to say that I feel exactly the same way as you and I agree that we should not turn our eyes away from something because it hurts us or we cannot bear to see it. I have been working on this for a long time now, and although I’m not 100% there yet, I am much better than I was! x

  3. I have started a blog about animals and the crimes against them. I hope you’ll like it. I could totally relate to being more compassionate to animals than any human.

  6. Animals our such beautiful creatures. In our world today its so cruel are some humans treat animals. We have to try our best and protect all animals in our planet.

    • I wholeheartedly agree with you, Charlie! It is too easy to turn a blind eye to animal cruelty. I watched a documentary (a few years ago) called ‘Earthlings’, and it is narrated by Joaquin Phoenix (River P’s younger brother). I sobbed my heart out to the point that my husband told me to ‘shut it off’. My response was I couldn’t turn a blind eye to acts of cruelty (just) because it is distressing to watch.

      • Yes, I have seen ‘Earthlings’, Joaquin Phoenix nailed the narration. Its painful seeing the harsh realities of animal cruelty. I do believe mother nature has an unsafe place for those bad people who mistreat animals unfairly.

Your right, the documentary is painful to watch. I cried so much. 😦

        • Yeah, he nailed it to the the brain. Hid narration & those images and bellows of tortured ” beasts ” further confirms my opinion of most humans should be wiped out & culled. It sounds harsh to say that in think that the world needs a human cull. Maybe this planet will have a better chance of healing.
I don’t believe in God in a dogmatic way, I do believe that nature has its own way of decreasing a species .
The plague, the corona virus lol .
Nature thrives and seeks out balance.

          • Amen sister. I’m not much of a believer in God myself but, I do believe in mother nature.
And I do believe right now…mother nature is punishing us humans – not to mention her way of bringing this coronavirus as her way of saying…(You humans are making me cry and are sickening me.) That’s how I see it. Hopefully, humans are taking this plague more seriously and everything else.

      • Hi! Daisy. How are you guys holding up over there?

        • Thanks for asking! Charlie, The prime minister,Boris has the virus. It is scary how quickly this virus spreads. I’m okay. I’m getting cabin fever with the isolation thing lol- How is the U.S of A doing & you, my friend?

          • Yeah, I just read about it on google news. It’s crazy. This virus has no boundaries and it doesn’t care of any age. 😦 I would not doubt people from all over the world are experiencing cabin fever. I know some try to keep busy, creative, and productive to keep the mind sane. That’s all we can try and better ourselves and hope good things will come after this crisis.

Well, here in L.A. its getting crazy and military tanks and trunks will be deployed here in our area soon. When? time will tell. But, its going to get more interesting next Month. 😦

I’m doing well. Just keeping myself sane, listening to music, watching movies and shows, and doing lots of writing and reading. I am nervous and sometimes I do get paranoid but I snap out of it and tell myself that everything will be alright. I’m taking care of my parents and my girlfriend as well. We’ve all been at home but keeping our distance from my parents. My girlfriend is always with me but we’re good.

  7. Now I’m worried. Please don’t go all Sunday on me. I hope beyond hope that my influence has not led you to give it any credence. That is one of the things I really liked about you, non-religious, and I know there is no reason but religious ones to give any attention to Sunday. Anyway, that’s my piece. Over and out.

    • Don’t worry ART. I’m only getting serious about animals for the 26 day a-z challenge miss your posts. I know u say you have other commitments but I can’t wait to have you posting again

  8. I love all animals too, I have such a soft heart for them. I do not do well with any abuse to animals, it breaks my heart into a million pieces, so reading about it, is going to be hard. I wish you all the best though for sure. x

  10. That’s a great theme. I am the same way about animals. I cannot laugh off animal abuse, and although reading about abuse upsets me deeply, I realise we must know. Only when we know, can we act, and spread awareness. Thanks and good luck!

  11. You should have smooth sailing through the first half. There are certain letters in the second half that have me wondering what you’ll do though.
