Animals & Mental Health
They say a picture tells a thousand words – I’m sure an animal could too.

I’M KITTY 😦 I SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION
Kitty has been living in research laboratories for over 14 years. Her main job role is to get artificially inseminated to produce baby chimpanzees for research.
Medication research side effects
Cosmetic makeup research
A few years ago in Arkansas, Echo, a family/pet dog was stolen by a B class dealer to give Echo over to a laboratory for research purposes. You can read more HERE. This letter to B class dealers likens cats and dogs being giving over to owners of research labs as animal concentration camps.
Two stories out of how many?
Millions!
We have all seen the pictures of abuse inflicted on innocents.
Please educate yourself. Get your neck out of the sand and start taking ownership and some responsibility for your role in torturing animals.
This post is not about making you feel targeted but these are ways you can make a difference.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Did you know that even today animals are still being tested on for the make up industry? They have substances forced down their throat, dripped down their throats or smeared on their skins before killing them?
SIGN THE GLOBAL PLEDGE TO BE CRUELTY-FREE TO ANIMALS. -It takes two seconds of your time.
Okay, maybe 40 seconds at the most.
Don’t we have to test out products and medication on animals?
NO.
It has been proven that there are other scientific non-animal tests that have been done and prove to work.
This modern way of testing is more truthful in predicting how the human body may react to certain ingredients.
So why don’t we stop animal testing?
RED-TAPE.
Companies and governments will accept non-animal testing on products as long as they undergo what is called scientific validating:
“Validation and regulatory acceptance are SLOW and EXPENSIVE, sometimes taking more than 10 years and millions of dollars for a single alternative method. HOWEVER, once an alternative method has been accepted as an official OECD Test Guideline, all OECD member countries and adherents to its policy on “mutual acceptance of data” are required to accept the results of the test without question”.

Hurting animals is the gateway drug to hurting humans IMO. Those who take pleasure in it are ‘not right’, as we southerners say. BTW curious what everyone thinks is more effective in championing animal issues: the tearful commercials with sad songs and shots of animals in shelters, or the upbeat, cheerful ads with families adopting pets? I gotta go with Door #2.

Tough question. I know a lot of people refuse to watch those commercials that insinuate abuse. I am the type of person who likes to know all the facts even if it breaks my heart having to watch abuse. The second type you mention seems so hallmark card like. It kind of takes away from the reality of the abuse that animals or children or humans have to endure. I’m going to not so much sit on the fence as suggest that a mixture of the two is a good balance- It creates awareness and it gives a solution. That is my opinion.

I’m sad to know that animals are still being used for testing. I guess we never learn.

Thanks for putting your heart and research into this. Truly compelling. We don’t use drugs or cosmetics to speak of, but in the things we do use, we do pay attention to the cruelty free processes.

My pleasure. I am sure this fits with what you write about. This must be a huge way humans unconsciously prevent themselves from becoming one with the Self . Awareness is everything and action should follow naturally.

I have always been against testing medications, cosmetics, and other things on animals, but….
A friend once asked me if I would be against it if what was discoved by these tests saved my child’s life. I didn’t have an answer.

I know what you are saying. I agree but there is no reason whatsoever to test on animals with all the scientific advancements we have made and the era we live in

Poor Kitty. It must be a miserable life for an animal meant for the wild
