Is it so wrong?

Is it so wrong to go into the manage section of the blogs I follow and check up on how they are?

No.

Is it wrong to wonder where the hell they disappear to?

No.

Is it wrong to not follow a blog anymore based on what  their idea of commitment is to blogging and your idea of commitment to blogging is ?

No.

Is it wrong to check that I haven’t missed out on a blog post?

No.

Is it wrong to re fresh one’s mind about a blog I follow?

No.

Here is the  BIG question.

Is is wrong to like a few posts of theirs (without reading them fully) if your motivation for doing so is to get them to blog more?

I mean what are my motives for following a blog?

I find what that person has to write interesting. I want to know more about the blog. I don’t want to just like a blog and not have a clue about what is going on in that persons world.

This is just my opinion.

I suppose I could follow loads of blogs but what would I get from that?

Emptiness.

Detachment.

Disconnected.

Loneliness.

Not being  understood.

Not understanding.

All these are horrible experiences and feelings.

I want to connect. I do connect. Please connect.

Bloggers who have just started out and I follow your blog?

Blog more. I found what you had to say interesting.

Don’t give up!

So back to the crucial question from me, Daisy, a blogger since September 2015

Is it or rather was it wrong of me to decide to check out the blogs I follow to make sure I’m not missing out on their posts on Word reader and decide to encourage my favourite blogs to blog more by liking a post I may or may  not  of read fully and with my full attention?

I would answer,

Yes.

It’s good to experiment with blogging. I am not going to find out much just by posting and not scratching beneath the surface  to find out more about a world I enjoy being a part of.

What I do think is wrong is if I started to do this everyday.

Like posts and not read them and not take the information in.

That is why I comment so much on blogs I follow.

I am taking in what you are saying.

If there is ever a day when I feel  I have cheated myself from the process of blogging and the different experiences I must go through to get to the next hurdle then…

may what I have to write, be content with a huge warning sign of

*THIS IS BULLSHIT*  Step away from Daisy.

The good part of this little experiment of mine is I actually am up to date with all of your posts already 😀

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!

Some of you don’t post everyday and some of you never stop posting. That is cool.

If I follow you please don’t stop posting altogether.

I kind of think that what you write is the shizzzle.

Rather one person pay an enormous amount of attention to what you have to write than 1000’s of likes.

WHY?

How do you self reflect and grow as a blogger?

How do you gain new perspective?

Where do you find inspiration?

I’m a mover and a shaker, baby

Let the good times roll.

  2. Good questions. Sometimes I take breaks to just regain my focus and find inspiration in the things that I find important to me. It does hurt me that some people don’t blog regularly and then some blog too darn much about meaningless stuff. I get it though. I’m famous for skimming a post and then re-reading it when I find it resonates in my spirit. I may not always comment on people’s post, but I do share posts regularly on Twitter that I enjoyed so that my Twitter and Facebook followers can check out the blog that I loved.

    • Hi Tekeetha T. I get tired. we all do. There is so much that we have to do already in our own lives outside of the blogging sphere. I’m learning that I can’t go on for hours and hours reading one post after another. Eventually taking in anything becomes impossible. I try and comment on most peoples posts but I too am learning that I need to give all the blogs I follow as much equal attention as possible. So ,like you I can’t read loads of posts from just one blogger. I do sharing too, We are only human I think the main thing is to keep our integrity – Most of us , I hope are here to be listened to and connect. I guess we will find our own way in our own time what and who deserves our energy more than others. xx

  3. I agree with Xeno’s comment and sometimes I like a post so I can go back to it later when I have time to fully read it, undisturbed. I love the comments bit, it’s my favourite, for me it’s more valuable than the likes or follows because it takes more time and effort, so I appreciate them so much. Great post! x

I think you’re a Rockstar Daisy. I can’t believe how much you post, I’m in awe of your commitment and I’m so envious you have some time for it. I’m a nurse and I work seven nights in a row during which time I’m pretty useless in the blogging world or my own lol But I keep all of your blogs that cone to my inbox knowing that on my days off I will catch up. I do not like a post for the sake of liking it (I didn’t realize people would do that…why even waste your time going to that blog?) And I read every single word of a blog post I comment on. I find you delightful and my only wish is that I could keep up with all the masterful writing you put out there.

    • WOW! Sandra! don’t sell yourself short. You are out there in the real world saving lives. Plus you still find time to blog. That to me is outstanding. I can’t believe you read all my posts how humbling. I didn’t know people just liked loads of posts until it was pointed out in a blog that I follow. It was a simple post and the person mentioned having loads of likes but only 2 views and visits and that is when I became aware that people do do that. I’m like you what is the point of blogging if not to read blogs. It’s kind of sad in my opinion that some bloggers only agenda is likes and follows. I understand businesses and brands need this but even then you need to target the a focus audience. Never been likened to a Rockstar. Your comment means a lot. I doubt myself as much as the next person. Your comment means more to me than waking up to 200 new followers who have not even commented. My job is not as hectic as yours. I’m home based so I get to look after my daughter, I can blog, I can read blogs, I volunteer a lot, I do have a hectic life because I choose to. If that makes sense. If I had a job as hectic as yours and still was able to think about blogging I could say that you are a super Rockstar yourself .:) xx Thank you again for such uplifting words. Bless you. XXXX

  5. Everyone I follow are more interesting than myself. I use to leave comments on all the blogs I follow but never getting a response most of the time made me stop. I’m a horrible conversationalist and prefer to just [ ]Like the posts. I read everyone’s blog except the ones that post several times a day every day and those I quit following. And why am I blathering now? It must be bedtime and I have to wear myself out doing something. 🙂

    • I don’t comment ALL the time. Mike. how can you day that the people you follow are more interesting than you – your interests make you as awesome as those who follow you and who you follow. we have common interests. 🙂

  6. Wow, just dropping likes… interesting tactic.
It’s all degrees with me on this one. If something catches my eye I click in. If it is good, I like. If it spurs the imagination, I say something about it. Rarely do any of us bat 100, but a whole lot of us are really interesting, yourself included.

  11. What I especially love about leaving comments is when someone I know has already commented in a blog I follow! Then when replying to that person, it becomes a party-kind of thing! 🎉🎆🎊🎇🎂🎅

i feel bad about liking posts without fully reading through, but sometimes I do get tired and don’t have the energy to read. So a like serves as an acknowledgement of, ‘I see you and appreciate what you’re doing!’ with hopes of catching up sooner rather than later.

    lots o’ hugs! xoxo
